If you are a fan (as we are) of the older-style character boats on the Thames with slim Edwardian lines then the ´Royalty´ could be a good choice. Family run, she has masses of charm. A lower saloon that seats up to 48 for silver service meals and total space for Barbecues or Buffets for up to 150. Built as a steam passenger boat in Kingston upon Thames in 1913 she was one of the ´little ships´ that took off men at Dunkirk. This stunning $10 million conversion into a replica 19th century Mississippi Paddle Steamer sets new standards for sheer size and style on the Thames. Until recently she was Stockholm´s largest cruising Night Club that actually took up to 1000 people. The new owners (50% us!) realistically are setting a limit of 420 for silver service, 520 for buffets. State of the art lighting and sound systems make her ideal for conferences and meetings but she really comes into her own at night when the 440 exterior light bulbs illuminate London.
